A Merger of Mixed Blessings

Google has completed its assimilation of Writely. (No need to use any Star Trek Borg references here), Now Writely and Google Spresheets has become Google Documents and Spredsheets, or as many people will start to call it Google Docs.

To the chargrin of many people on the Internet, Google did purchase YouTube for about $1.5B. The YouTube guys are already wondering where their money is. The YouTube guys need to relax. When you are bought by one of the largest companies on the internet, a transaction like this takes a little bit of time. Even I know that and I don't work for Google. (Do you guys want $1.5B dollars now with $1.0B going to Uncle Sam or can you be patient and get $1.5B without giving all that money to the IRS? I'd wait a little bit.)

But the Wall Street Folks and the Media Companies want to stir panic with investors. Remember, Google's large power is an economic regime change from 20th Century corporations from the East Coast (Mass Media companies (TV, Radio, and Newspaper), AT&T, GE, Ford, GM, Enron, IBM, McDonnalds, Walmart, Microsoft, Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Big Tobacco), to 21st Century corporations from the West Coast and Pacific Rim (Google, Yahoo!, and Big Tech). And the people from the new regime are not as stupid or as easily manipulated as the old regime thinks that they are.

My belief, since I am not a wall street tycoon, hold on to your Google stock just a little while longer. If that troubles you, then sell it and buy stock from a smaller company.

America is at a time where it needs change from the status quo.

Meanwhile, in terms of YouTube, not much has changed since the merger with Google despite the woe and dispair we've been told about this merger but Mergers between AT&T and BellSouth get good press despite being a very bad thing.

I'm come to realize that everything that we are told by the media is wrong. The Media can tell us the sky is green because you don't send Jesus money when we all know that the sky is blue because of the refraction of light particles in the atmosphere.

And since this is not the first time that AT&T has tried to merge with Bellsouth (anyone remember the break up of AT&T in 1984 should know why AT&T is a malevolent entity) this is deja vu all over again. Yet the YouTube/Google merger is consider a bad thing? This coming from a failing mass media regime that tells us "Net Neutrality is bad", "Net Neutrality is a bunch of mumbo jumbo", "The Internet is a series of tubes", and "If you support Net Neutrality, we'll slow down your internet access and block pro-Net Neutrality websites" (that one wasn't written down, but Comcast subscribers know exactly what I'm talking about conisering they couldn't access Google). The non-verbal communication exhibited by Comcast as well as other Cable and Telecommunications companies is not only wrong but is unconstitutional. It is illegal in the United States to influence the voting decitions of it citizens by denying or threatening to deny people privilidges or the rights that they are guaranteed according to the United States Constitution including free speech and free press--rights that the internet offers without bias of peoples race, sex, creed, origin, income, orientation, political position, etc.

If there is any room for Lobbyist in this world, then let them be lobbyist from Google or the Electronic Frontier Foundation. On top of that, our country needs hackers to put their foot in the door and to catch career politicials red handed and to stop foreign hackers, foreign diplomats, and big corporations from making the decision of our elections and elected officials. (This is our country! If anyone is going to be hacking the American government, it should be an American hacker born, raised, and living in the United States!)

If you can't play by the rules, play against the rules but don't ever cheat.
